I took the train into The City. "Meet me at the park around the corner from my apartment at 1:00pm." she asked. I wasn't sure what we were. Sort of dating, maybe talking, but she wanted to see me in the daylight so that was a big step right? I people watched for about 15 minutes. One of my favorite things to do in NYC. Lady with her dog, man with a cigarette, typical Greenwich Village NY and then I saw her. Hair golden as the sun, blowing in the wind. The pigeons seemed like doves flying around her. She was angelic, truely a moment in time and then she said. "I'm starving lets get food!" From that day I knew what she was going to be.... My wife one day. --Anonymous

My hiding place... This is the only place I feel truly at piece. Dark, quiet, relaxing. I come here when I'm most stressed, or if I have a big decision to make. The jellies just keep swimming. Not sure if its the movement, the color changing tank or the spa music that the plays in this exhibit but this is an experience I'll always appreciate. --Anonymous

I've never seen a sunset so vivid. It was like the sky was on fire. I wish I could've seen it from the Ocean. This picture will always be my favorite. --Anonymous

New City, No family close, just me and a will to succeed. I was so depressed in my old life. I was going nowhere and making really bad decisions, so I just left. No plan, no job, in the middle of a recession. I got this job by pure luck. As I crossed the street for my first day I remember stopping in the median of the road because it was so empty. That emptiness made me think about how alone I was and I said out loud. "Holy Shit what am I doing?" --Anonymous

Four doctors told me my four year old son had allergies. "The snoring is from allergies. The stuffy nose is from allergies. The inability for him to breathe is allergies." Over 4 weeks I saw him lose weight and sinuses completely cease and the final straw was he couldn't keep any food down. I immediately took him to the emergency room the doctors gave him a once over and asked if I had taken him to a doctor before. I told them what the other doctors said and as if the secret code has been input all the doctor just assumed the prior doctors were correct and dismissed what was happening to allergies. But this time I wasn't going anywhere. I fought back and convinced them to keep him overnight for observation and thank goodness I did because this happened to be the night where my son would just stop breathing and gasp for air all through his sleep. The nurse watching him was horrified but still, doctors continued the allergies theory. Finally she came... I can't confirm this but I feel like everytime doctors want you out of the hospital they sent in the nice doctor that basically says "What has to happen to get you out of here?" So I agreed to terms, If you answer all my questions I'll leave with no issues... Fair.
First question... What is causing my son to choke and gasp for air while he sleeps? The doctor pulls out a little light and asks my son to open his mouth and says. "Oh well as you can see his palette is pushed way down into his throat so when he relaxes the tongue presses against it and blocks the airway." then she pauses.
Okay... question two. Do allergies cause that? The doctor pauses... "No."
Okay final question... "What causes that?" The doctor pauses... "Excuse me one moment." The doctor leaves for about 10 minutes and comes back with paperwork and says. "Can we have permission to give your son a CAT scan?"
Rhabdomyosarcoma a cancerous tumor completely filling my son's sinuses and now starting to grow down into his throat. The next year was crazy, but after surgery, chemo, and radiation my boy is cancer free. I keep this picture around to remind me to never just trust what people say. trust your gut, and always fight for what's right. --Anonymous

Not sure if it's still there but my girl and I thought we'd do a spontaneous trip. So we hopped in the car and just drove... We ended up in Rhode Island and it was late so we stopped at this hotel. There was only one room available so we took it. Wow were we in for a surprise. This room was themed. Every room was and our room was know as the love dungeon. (unofficially of course) The room was super dark with a gothic chandelier. The bathroom was all blacked out even the toilet was black. There was gargoyles in the room and the art was interesting. The best was big and matching dark sheets but the most incredible thing about this room? In the corner was a caged hottub! This place was amazing next time I'm in Rhode Island I'm definitely staying here again. --Anonymous
